Dr. Jay Einhorn and I are organizing a time-limited consultation group focused on integrating psychodynamic and cognitive methods within a brain-based model.

This is a four-session workshop on the integration of psychodynamic and cognitive approaches to understanding and working with patients/clients in psychotherapy. Each session will include a thematic presentation by the co-leaders and one or more consultations on cases presented by participants, which may include role-playing. This workshop expands on our previous programs in Psychodynamic and Cognitive Psychotherapy, given at the Gifted Center~North Shore, and for the Chicago Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology. The themes of each session are:

Fundamentals of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: What Are They?
Cognition and Psychodynamics: An Integrative Approach
Toward A Brain-Based Model of Psychotherapy
The ‘Relational Space’ in Brain-Based Psychotherapy
